The standard descriptors are: Normal, Mineral, Stale, Further Away, Closer Than Expected, Echoed, and the one they just list as "No." I've only personally experienced Normal and Further Away. My sister-in-law in Crambleside got Echoed once and said every sip tasted like she'd already tasted it a second ago. She switched to bottled for a month.

I'm on Vethbridge Lane and our water has been doing the same thing since around the same time. "Further away" is actually a recognized water quality descriptor, by the way. It's on the municipal taste chart. It means trace spatial displacement in the water table. Usually harmless but it means the water is taking a slightly longer route to your tap than it's supposed to. Through where is the question nobody at the water authority wants to answer.
