Simpler method: if the electronic board on the platform says "NEXT TRAIN" with a time, the train stops. If it says "NEXT TRAIN" with a philosophical question, the train doesn't stop and you should have taken the bus. Last Wednesday mine said "NEXT TRAIN: What do you think punctuality means to you?" So I walked.
